Merci, JCB. Well then, a few words about directed by John Paddy Carstairs and written by Ted Lloyd. Not very bright, not very smart, this comedy managed to raise a constant smile on my tired face. For its good natured humour is never vulgar, even when heavy-handedly characterizing French people. Cunning Bob Monkhouse, nice Leslie Phillips, sweet Shirley Eaton, grumpy Irene Handl, suave Alfred Marks, they all hit a sans faute of its modest kind. By the way, let me introduce Lulu: the caravan/camper/trailer. But the real permanent feature and star of the film is the lovely Bedford. And for sixyl and his gay IMPDb.org companions, let's go to the Lydd Ferryfield Airport… |

I felt for the poor old Bedford, 42bhp dragging a total of about 2.5 tons, and far too much noseweight. |

Now, for sixcyl… … for your postcards collection… (with a Simca 5?) … and back to England via Le Touquet: … for all IMPDbers, on Bristol Freighter: with many more pics: |

Standard Vanguard Phase 3. A bit fuzzy, but I think that the rear lights are as used after the "Vignale" facelift. |
