Videoclip remake of Mad Max, but I do not know if they used the same car models or not... |

Black coupe is an XB Falcon same as Max's interceptor but without the fibreglass nose cone. Max's XB was a GT but this is not (no driving light in grille). The yellow XB MFP cars are also XBs, but in the movie they used XA and XB sedans, not coupes. And in the movie the caravan was towed by a Falcon ute not a Hilux. They were probably very rusty coupes that were beyond restoration and made to look good for the video, because even in 1998 XB Coupes were hard to find and becoming valuable collectors cars, so to smash three up for a music video would have been crazy. -- Last edit: 2008-07-28 13:45:07 |

best example of properly remastering old music video is Roxette it looks stunning like it's something much much newer than 1991 ![]() ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1I3ebe7ykGI -- Last edit: 2024-10-22 22:32:23 |

Frankly I don't see the replacements as improvements over the old. The new images are washed out and darker. |

current have wrong ratio |

I corrected the ratio of the original images. I'll leave them until I get a second or third opinion. |

Agreed on leaving the current ones. |
