With the various versions of the Lancia D50 I don't there is a right and wrong answer to the indentity. According to this - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lancia_D50 - they started as lancia D50s but when Ferrari took over they became Lancia-Ferrari D50s and then Ferrari D50s. It might be simpler to keep them all together as Lancia D50s as the dates of change are not documented? Unlike in the modern era the cars had different numbers for different races so some can be indentified by their number to fix the venue the picture was taken.

Everything before Monza 1955 (premature end of that season) is a Lancia D50 and everything after the start of the 1956 season a Ferrari D50. Now for that particular race at Monza perhaps they could be called Lancia-Ferrari D50s because Scuderia Ferrari had recently got hold of the cars from Lancia and had little development time -understandably they also brought back D50 creator Vittorio Jano. These cars were further developed from Sept. '55 to the Jan.'56 new season start.
