Filmed mainly in Istanbul, Turkey
One short scene in the beginning of the movie was filmed in Aleppo, Syria

Another Duraid Lahham (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duraid_Lahham) film who played one of his well known characters, Ghawwar along with his side kick Husni played by the late Nihad Qal'i. They were sort of the Arab version of Laurel and Hardy.

 Is 1973 as movie date correct? :think: All visiible items, cars, fashion, haircuts, even the exposure of the scenes are older style.

 You are right, it does seem to be more from the mid to late 1960s, but most sources I looked up say 1972 or 1973. It could be possible that this movie was filmed years before but released later.

 The Avenger was launched Jan 70 (so probably a few months to arrive here) and K70 summer 70, with the Riviera (if that's what it is) in the same photo being similar 70 launch for 71my. So filming must be late 70 at the very earliest possibility, with 71 onwards being more credible.
