There was a brief but shocking part played by one of the most exotic vehicles ever: a Peraves Ecomobile. The Ecomobile is a Swiss-made cabin motorcycle, that is, a BMW bike with a full fairing that needs motorized wheels to help it to remain upright when travelling at low speeds. In this movie, the Rover P5 is intercepted by a policeman who is using the Ecomobile as his bike, so it is painted to look like one. When the policeman goes away, it's clearly seen how the Ecomobile retracts its stabilizer wheels. It seems that Wenders wanted to find a futuristic vehicle, and the Ecomobile's missile-like appearance certainly does the part. I don't have a movie picture, but here is the Peraves' website: http://eco.peraves.ch/index.htm |

Now I remember this movie. A guy recorded the character's dream, but he let her wind down the battery to support the dream playback. |
