Should've been a great movie. As it is, it's inert and lifeless and just plain boring, telegraphs everything well in advance and, as John Frankeheimer was wont to do with his movies, stops dead in its tracks for pointless sex scenes.

Quite an upgrade to do, this one, with lots of missing vehicles, and still many more not added as if John Frankenheimer was bent on filming every vehicle in Rome. Oddly enough, no buses. Apologies for any duplicates etc. Merge away if/wherever called for.

 Majestic job! :king: countless anachronisms for a movie set in 1978, but I guess they thought an American/international public wasn't too familiar with Italian/European cars.

 It seems that the film was made on a very limited budget. I would imagine that stopping traffic and removing parked cars was not possible.

Quote Production was scheduled to begin on April 17, 1990, but was delayed to the summer after the film's Japanese investors only provided a fraction of the costs promised. Production was delayed again to October 8 after the United States dollar lost value in its exchange rate with the Italian lira, the currency the producers intended to finance two-thirds of the project with, and led to a budget deficit. As a result, Frankenheimer had to time the scenes carefully and take careful to shoot as little extra footage as possible in order to cut costs.
