Totally agreed, was it based in a true event, or have i just dreamed that? |

I saw this movie too last summer. It left me shaken...not many movies can do that to me. I highly recommend it. |

Yes, it's based on actual events. The original "experiment" was in 1967 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Third_Wave). There was a made-for-TV movie (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083316/) and a book. I remember learning about it in school back in the early 1990s. Here is a website with some information about "The Wave": http://www.thewave.tk/ |

Me and the rest of the class just started reading the book yesterday. Cars are mentioned when Mr.Ross forgets a book about Japan in his car and on page 148. On the title of the folder for all the work sheets related to the book I drew a Pacer, a Bug and a generic 70s car in the parking lot seen out of the window in the opening scene. -- Last edit: 2014-07-11 11:36:48 |

I'll do the 1981 TV movie tomorrow, as that is when our project about the book ends (with a test). |
