Totally agreed, was it based in a true event, or have i just dreamed that?

I saw this movie too last summer. It left me shaken...not many movies can do that to me. I highly recommend it.

Yes, it's based on actual events. The original "experiment" was in 1967 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Third_Wave). There was a made-for-TV movie (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083316/) and a book. I remember learning about it in school back in the early 1990s.

Here is a website with some information about "The Wave": http://www.thewave.tk/

Me and the rest of the class just started reading the book yesterday. Cars are mentioned when Mr.Ross forgets a book about Japan in his car and on page 148. On the title of the folder for all the work sheets related to the book I drew a Pacer, a Bug and a generic 70s car in the parking lot seen out of the window in the opening scene.

I'll do the 1981 TV movie tomorrow, as that is when our project about the book ends (with a test).
