Probably the world's best ever drama series about ... ... binmen. Filmed in Oldham, Greater Manchester. "Hepworth District Council" is fake. -- Last edit: 2018-07-24 03:09:02 |

Blimey, proof that I am getting old. The above epithet was in common use in the other programme about bins, The Dustbinmen. I am staggered to discover that this was aired in 1969/70. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0159868/fullcredits?ref_=tt_cl_sm#cast -- Last edit: 2018-07-23 21:16:29 |

Series 1 (6 eps) complete Rejects: Ep1.01 - a 2Rover [R8] which hoots its horn and gets V-signs in reply Might be a 93-94 L plate, and has rounded sidelights, but grille looks bodged fit. Ep1.02 - red Fiesta Mk1, seen twice, probably Popular or Popular Plus Ep1.03 - Rover 800 and red Mini, possibly a Flame edition Other bits: The mid-90s were the last years of the Sheepskin era Petrol price index |

Series 2 (6 episodes) completed. Excellent 1990s TV drama - S1 is very good indeed, S2 loses its way a bit (they're now ex-dustmen, so less focus) but has some intermittently superb moments which pull things together to keep it rolling. Both are recommended. Entry for imDustbinLorryCakedb |

A fine trip through the last days of British commercial vehicle dominance My council now runs Mercedes Bin Wagons, MAN Tippers and a Peugeot / Citroen van fleet Of course once Juncker closes the channel ports plans are in hand to buy Macks, Hinos and Toyotas -- Last edit: 2018-08-03 11:18:35 |

Done: Link to "imcdb.opencommunity.be" I'll try to copy and paste the comments from here, but I need my PC for that, as not possible for me with the smartphone. -- Last edit: 2018-08-07 23:18:06 |
