Just something interesting - one location shown in the movie, "Catalina Liquor and Deli" on the corner of Catalina Avenue and 8th Street in Koreatown just west of Downtown Los Angeles, is still standing as of 2017. I found a 01/2017 capture of the location on Google Earth street view.
