![]() ![]() 17 minute tribute to Blackpool taken from ![]() British Transport Films Volume Two: See Britain By Train 2-dvd set. Can be seen here. Tribute article here Although not much in it for us, it was apparently quite famous at the time and is interesting today for all the strange obsolete past-times folk did and seemed to enjoy then - an affectionate film about people, and well made with high quality footage. Soundtrack of jfs-music?? ![]() ![]() Rejects - a bike with (I think) a motor, CA minibus ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Signs ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Plane for impdb - doing pleasure flights from the beach ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() G-ACEJ comes up as 1933 de Havilland DH.83 Fox Moth chassis 4069, destroyed 1981 when another plane hit it, but reconstructed mid-1980s. |

I will admit to having had to lookup Armand Piron. Chris Barber is a bit modern, but a good band, and I have spent many happy hours listening to the Dook. I do realise the futility of attempting to convert folk under the age of eighty to this genre, so I don't bother. For relaxation try Paul Whiteman, especially the concert pieces, playable at any time without the need of electricity. -- Last edit: 2017-08-04 22:44:31 |
