But they didn't delete the old ones, @rjluna2 Actually, I'm totally with you and normally dismiss remakes, am cautious with reboots and many cover versions of songs appear redundant to me. But then again, these things are 'our' beloved treasures, translated into an updated imagery, speed and language nowadays' kids can relate to - and that can be a ticket for them into our childhood and even a bonus ticket for us into our own childhood from a different angle. As long as they don't replace stuff and keep our memories available, I'm fine with it. (I'd probably be irrationally upset if they released a dark metal version of The Wonder Years or something alike, though. ) |
