1980s documentary about the German Autobahn network. Not that informative, it focuses mainly on books and films published to promote the new Autobahns. Not many historic information in it. By the way, Speer's first name was Albert, not Alfred, as said in this docu. |

Great pictures and a multitude of cars that are pretty hard to identify. That's nothing new with pre-war cars, but especially the Mercedes-vehicles here are quite a challenge to indentify precisely. -- Last edit: 2016-05-08 18:41:08 |

thank you Robi , as I saw the first broadcast back in 1986 stored on VHS it was that year i travelled throughout the country to photograph remains of Reichsautobahn shortly before they are gone forever, just like the Albaufstieg + Aichelberg Viadukt |

in the 80ies commen sense was ever changing Autobahn could not be a landmark or even to be preserved in any way at all after all there are well known reasons for abanden the idea as well... 30 years later there are new efforts to determine at least what is still worth to be preserved leading to the result to declare the concept + layout of RAB to a landmark itself... It is allways the same, when it is almost to late they say, oh should have had protected it, and that the idea has been developed before the 30ies |
