Henri Decoin's movie, with Pierre Fresnay and Georges Marchal, is depicting the progress of the French aerial commercial line between Paris and Rio de Janeiro, from 1920 on. It's a very IMPDb movie, with modern planes in the prologue: and then, back to 1920, this: … then that, a Bréguet XIV: … and finally this wonderful thing —a Supermarine? But IMCDb is not forgotten, and the hard way as you'll see, aside of 2 Citroëns easy to name, an extraordinary convoy: … and the rarest (and oldest) truck/ground conveyor I ever saw: Well… I wish us a good hunting. |

New copy of the movie, of better quality, and above all complete (without knowing it, I used an amputated one, some René Château's 'work', more than 15 minutes shorter!). I replaced the pics and the time-tags going with them. LVCDC or sixcyl, send me an e-mail, for some more pics. Salut à tous. I naturally took the occasion to re-watch the film: it is good stuff, the actors are above average, Pierre Fresnay, Georges Marchal, René Arnoux, Félix Oudart, André Bervil, Janine Crispin, and the ever great Suzanne Dehelly. Henri Decoin directing, Joseph Kessel wrighting, very good. Joseph Kosma musical scoring, as always self-pastiche, un-interesting. |

Thanks Didier and sixcyl for these first stones. Now the wall is achieved with a complete inventory on IMPDB. BTW, we can see several times this tramway (still at 11'24) : |
