"Perhaps the best-loved of all British Transport Films, a nostalgic look at London trams on the eve of their final journey." Only 10 minutes long, but has huge number of trams for trammists to enjoy. Some poignant footage of unwanted trams being scrapped.

The last ever tram arrives much later than planned at its depot to a crowd of "20,000" people. The commentary then says they all had to walk home as there were no trams left running, and the buses had stopped much earlier ....

A couple of great faces - apparently Cockneys dressed up for the last tram ride.
