Usual cheapo Brit affair that's almost all filmed in a studio. Assume sets were cheaper to make than filming outside but why ? -- Last edit: 2021-05-04 11:04:16 |

Because assuming you have access to studios and existing sets you don't have to move anyone or anything (equipment) to some location. In studios everything is in place, like sets and light rigs etc and usually just altered slightly (if at all) to suit the plot. Going to shoot on location is a logistics and cost problem (insurance also is a factor as said) plus in those days it still probably was a challenge to sound record in the open. Unless I didn't understand JCB's question? -- Last edit: 2021-05-04 16:06:57 |

Victor Maddern playing a Detective Superintendent? Promoted about 4 rungs above his usual soldier/copper/thug/layabout rôles. -- Last edit: 2021-05-04 17:16:04 |
