Filmed in Wisconsin between 1995 and 1997. The black-and-white shots from the junkyard are from the (still unfinished) film "Northwestern" and were told to have been shot in 1990. The shot with the pickup is from the short film "Coven" and was shot around 1994.

 It's about a guy (Mark Borchardt) who is dreaming of making a movie but has no money, and has all kinds of problems in his life. The documentary follows him as he tries to fulfill his dream.
The movie was ranked as 17th of the 20 best documentaries of all time by the International Documentary Foundation in 2002, and it's on the New York Times' "The Best 1,000 Movies Ever Made" list.
