Verging to fantasy, it's a real noir, desperate and yet surprising. For me, there is the best 'French' performance of Eric von Stroheim, and Madeleine Sologne, whose acting is almost impressionist, is very good, as is Louis Salou, a great French actor who died much too early. Cars? Some, but there will problems in identifying them, for the pics are not good. Three main cars, plus a traction there for visual reasons.
