"Shaw Taylor-narrated look at terrorism, both warning the public to vigilant and demonstrating how the Metropolitan Police (the film’s sponsor) deal with the issue." Patronising public information film in response to various mid-70s London bombings - undiluted message of scaring the viewer with no reassurance at all. I think most of the footage is reconstruction - there is some actual archive, but very limited use. 1* rejects - these are best views furniture truck - Bedford TK?? bright yellow Renault 15 orange "Wardance" Imp Triumph 1500 and something else - Fulvia coupe??? Escort - "terrorists often buy ordinary cars" assorted at Tower of London bombing (archive?) assorted at House of Parliament bombing (archive) - these can be given pages if worth it (a) (b) (c) Ski event sponsored by a sugar company Very weird - they're not ski-ing but doing a sort of formation jump-dance down the slope. And would anyone rush out and buy extra T&L sugar as a result of the promotion?? -- Last edit: 2014-08-21 22:12:21 |
