 The director Jean Rouch says: "The rear-view mirror was hand-held, the wheels were from a Peugeot 403 with tyres wide enough for the sand. All the parts were.......it wasn't right to call it a 2CV, then, it was more like a...NO, it was a car. It was a Cock-a-doole-do, Cocorico, Monsieur Poulet".
