With respect to Cumbernauld residents it looks rather bleak even when new .Some continuity errors in this at 12.40 mins the 1100 pulls up beside a red Hillman Imp but when the people get out its a red Jaguar.

Cumbernauld was apparently the purest example of a totally planned new town in the UK, even above Milton Keynes. A huge dream for the future, but now a characterless expanse of concrete. Not a particular social disaster, just a bleak symbol of obsolete thinking submerged now in Glasgow's sprawling fringes. Several more recent documentaries have been made on what happened after the bubbles burst.
