To add from my page that I didn't know was already listed by mok (ik, i'm a fool): Set between the years of 1985 and 1999 in Tokyo's Akihabara district. Akiba Meido Sensou, also known as Akiba Maid War tells the story of a brutal Yakuza war amongst other maid cafes in the Akihabara district controlled by large Yakuza clans known as the "Creatureland Group" and the "Maidaliens Group". And of those is a young 17 year old girl by the name of Nagomi Wahira who is placed in the crosshairs of the war. The entire anime itself is a lovesong and a parody to the many Yakuza movies, references and video games. The cars that appear in the show makes me wonder if the show was actually intended to be set entirely in the 80s tbh. Almost none of the cars were common by 1999 as far as I can remember. Which is odd considering PA did a much better job in the vehicle department in another anime (heh) set in the late-90s. Probably this one, used in multiple P.A.
