Released in 2002, this stand alone video featuring ex Top Gear presenter (and current Fifth Gear presenter) Tiff Needell is all about various advanced driving techniques, utilised by the former racing driver as he guides you through each precision technique. Intriguingly however, I sense a lot of conflict between this and Clarkson's No Limits, as it is exactly the same theme, released in the same year and even features that of Russ Swift performing exactly the same 2 wheel stunt maneuvers. Predictably, I much prefer Clarkson's release as he is a man of entertainment, but even I will admit that this was very informative, if a little dry - its linear structure resulted in a bit of boredom, from me at least. |

God I hate his (Tiff Needell) voice! I can't watch any of his stuff because of it. But I do think that he tests/reviews/drives much more fairly. Like he did the GT500 instead of the base models like Clarkson did. |

i miss the tiff neddel tests in top gear, i remember that times when all work togheter, i never imagine clarkson becomes more famous than all in the show... |

I like Tiff, his presenting style may not be quite as entertaining as Clarkson (who has a unique approach to cars), but he's has tons of enthusiasm and is an excellent driver (I've seen him race at Goodwood Revival), miles better than Clarkson, who isn't actually that great a driver (in terms of being able to push a car to it's limits there's quite a few things he can't do). I still enjoyed Top Gear in the days when its emsemble of presenters was headed by Clarkson (the unofficial star of the show), Quentin Willson and Tiff. I've seen him in person and he really talks like that in real life, but I don't find his voice irritating (I found Northern Irish Jason Barlow's voice the most grating), I think it's good that all the best Top Gear presenters have an individual style of presenting and delivery, it holds your attention better than the more dull presenters like Chris Goffey. -- Last edit: 2006-12-20 23:29:52 |

I can't really listen to what he says because of his voice. I like the three current Top Gear presenters (Richard Hammond, James May and Jeremy Clarkson). |

Can you get Top Gear easily in America? I realise it did win an Emmy. You probably couldn't have a show like Top Gear over there because all the major networks are probably in bed with the car corporations. |

Despite the release date, this program must've been filmed in 2000 as it features no newer cars than a 2000 W-plate. |
