There were more cars visible in the mid-90's, but I have chosen only a few. -- Last edit: 2018-06-25 22:22:13 |

Minneapolis-Saint Paul had a storied past involving streetcars. A figure later to be associated with the Mob brought in GM buses to replace them. |

I'd like to point out that all this talk of GM killing mass transit(including street cars) is a load of BS: http://www.1134.org/stan/ul/GM-et-al.html |

I don't know anything about L.A. I've only seen the documentary Lost Twin Cities on PBS. -- Last edit: 2009-12-20 01:06:15 |

Well, I know that many trolley systems were declining after World War One, and were trading street cars for buses before GM started building buses. I also know that besides San Francisco, and New Orleans, Philadelphia and Boston kept their trolleys, and that in New York, and Chicago, buses, "L's," and subways replaced street car routes. Some of Boston's street car lines were replaced by subway trains and buses, but they didn't completley get rid of them. -- Last edit: 2011-01-05 04:29:34 |
