ep 3.01:

This screen seems to use Comic Sans MS font, which was only created in 1994 (episode set in 1986). Though that such character styling may of course exist before, that font was inspired with existing comic book font styles.

Later in the episode, they mention the GIF format, but that one was only created in 1987.

I received an e-mail from Melissa who makes a podcast about the series:
Quote I drop episode recaps on Mondays and cast/crew interviews on Thursdays. I've been thinking about what happens when the episode recaps are done, and I have an idea I would love for your community to be a part of.
One thing I have found as I talk with fans of the show is that so many of us wish more people would find Halt and Catch Fire. My podcasts serve new and long-time fans with the current content. I've been thinking about what I can do to try to reach new people who haven't heard about the show.
The idea: After the episode recaps are done, I'd like to start a limited run segment of special Monday interviews featuring 1) people who are significant to the community and/or 2) panel interviews with various subject matter experts who might be able to speak to details of the show. These would be spoiler-free or spoiler-very light to help get new folks excited about the show and to give longstanding fans some new angles and ways to connect.
Example: I recorded an interview with women in gaming. It was a panel interview with people who had never seen the show, but we talked about some non-spoiler plot points and how they relate to women in gaming. It inspired one of the panelists to watch the show, and it may inspire other women in gaming who watch that interview to do the same. But I also learned some new things about women in gaming that inform how I watch the show.
Halt and Catch Fire is set in the 80s and 90s, and they worked hard to get cars that would be appropriate to the period. There is a great page on your site about this show, in fact. I've been making a wish list of interviewees for this segment, and I would love to interview someone from your community who could walk us through some of the highlights of the show from the standpoint of the vehicles we see on screen.

If someone is interested, I can put you in contact.
Otherwise I'll maybe do myself the interview, though that I saw the series long time ago.

In the end, I did the interview myself in September, and it was published yesterday, so here it is:

I hope that it is not too difficult to understand what I say, as I am clearly not a native English speaker :D

The French accent is hardly noticeable. Good interview.

Just finished watching the interview on YouTube. I really think you covered a lot of nice topics that I like about this site; anachronistic cars (both cars too new or cars too nice for their age), how the cars are provided to the production, owners commenting and the group effort of identifying all cars (you don't need to know everything to provide to the site).
About your English, it's reminds me of myself when I have to talk English in my job. It usually starts like "Me Tarzan, you Jane" but when you get warm you can babble away about anything :D

I left a like :)
