directed by Dorothy Arzner (a, well, woman-director, not that many at the time), after a play written by Ferenc Molnár. Starring Joan Crawford, Franchot Tone, Robert Young, and Billie Burke, Reginald Owen, Lynne Carver, George Zucco, Mary Philips. Very soapish. Instead of a pic of our suffering Crawford, let's have some piece of Hollywood kitsch under the species of those two fantastic exemples of SGI (Studio-generated Imagery): (Neither Italian- nor Austrian- but Hollywoodian Tyrol.) Only two cars, but one probably impossible to ID. |
