![]() First full length film by Ivan Sen (later did Mystery Road, Goldstone etc). An absorbing and underplayed story about 2 teenagers on the road, good characters, excellent use of dramatic landscapes. Not a classic, but shows how he started developing ideas and techniques which his later stuff uses so spectacularly. Been trying to find a copy for ages, and this is best I could get hold of. Quality a bit blurry, and seems to be a TV capture as has advert breaks and screen logos. So later timings may not be spot on if a straight-through version turns up. Rejects - junkers in early scenes ![]() ![]() Strange goof - part of the plot involves Lena trying to get to Sydney to find her Irish dad, with a treasured photo album of old pics of him back in Ireland. But this ![]() is Ring of Brodgar on Orkney (Scotland). So I hope she finds him in Sydney, and doesn't end up in Ireland looking for the Ring of Brodgar. |
