I came upon two more previously unseen Russian adaptions of Western works while scouring the web. Currently looking for them ![]() "Interpol" 1992, by Belarusfilm. Adaption of "Souvenir, or Puppet on a Chain" by Maclean Alistair. Adapted by Hollywood in 1972. "Navazhdenie," 1992, by the St. Petersburg television film studio. Update December 29, 2023: I finally found "Interpol" it was uploaded this summer to mail.ru. Disappointingly it's just the story with the entire setting moved to Minsk. No fake plates, no foreign ads plastered everywhere (except for a nice Subaru Leone on a wall ![]() |
