Upgraded with captures from DVD released in 2011. Mains replaced as like-for-like captures, new comments pictures and timings added, [*] ratings adjusted.

Set in 1917, so some anachronisms. Only 3 entries to post.

Still a cracking good film. Set on Orkney which does appear in some genuine sequences, but there are other places pretending to be Orkney (Scrabster, possibly Invergordon) and some pier/harbour scenes are studio sets with strange backcloths.
