"Premier rendez-vous" was an enormous hit in occupied France, in 1941. Mainly a "feelgood movie", though stained by some bitter moments, directed by Henri Decoin for his wife Danielle Darrieux. Lot of young blood, Daniel Gélin, Georges Marchal, Sophie Desmarets, Simone Valère… and, hold your breath, Louis Jourdan is about to (French) kiss Danielle Darrieux: ![]() Shot in studios, with many valuable models for the buildings, and for some vehicles too: a light truck, ![]() … a bus, ![]() … a taxi: ![]() Now, for the real stuff, the problem is double. Very few vehicles were used in this production. I counted 6, or maybe 5 only. And the state of preservation of the copy I have is very bad. So, they are going to be difficult to identify. Let's have a try! |
