imdb only lists US film locations, but this looks northern UK, maybe Scotland for stone architecture, so maybe some generic Brit footage inserted. |

@dsl: Very likely. There are notes on both IMDb and AFI (the latter citing 'many contemporary sources') that Britain's Air Ministry sent the studio oodles of stock footage of British planes. There's no reason to suppose all of it was footage of aerial fighting. As the camera follows the running airmen we see an airfield, which is then shown as apparent background projection as Tyrone Power gets into his plane, and I would agree that's stock footage (also because of the number of planes shown).![]() ![]() -- Last edit: 2023-06-09 13:27:35 |
