 So, directed by William H. Pine,

is one of the hammiest thing I had the dubious privilege to see.

I think that, even trying very hard, you wouldn't beat Chester Morris, Richard Arlen, Amelita Ward and, above them all, Jimmy Lydon ("Sandy" Lunt). It's simply beyond the limits of the incredible.

Really, army recruiting aims for kids (or kid-brained young adults), that is the only thing the movie proved (well, it proved also that a jeep could jump rather easily, with enough momentum, over a railroad track).

For his fandom to take notice, Robert Mitchum (uncredited but with lines to say)

makes his 3rd appearance in a movie. And, guess what? He is the only one not to be hammy.

Minable film de propagande militaro-patriotique. Des records de cabotinage grotesque sont battus haut la main ici. Ajoutez à ça une des musiques les plus putassières qu'il m'ait été donné de subir (le coupable, c'est Daniele Amfitheatrof, que la honte s'abatte sur lui et ses descendants jusqu'à la 7ème génération) et vous comprendrez que je veuille oublier tout ça au plus vite.

Hélas, je dois ouvrir une lourde (et pas très intéressante) page pour IMPDb.org, car tel est mon devoir.

Notez, peut-être que je devrais plutôt vous diriger vers le lien d'Archive.org que donne la page de en.wiki, à mon avis surdimensionnée pour un tel film.

 Kansan missed too by my eyes ... But I didn't seen Mitchum too. This boring movie was made in a hurry (?) with limited machines (movie filmed just in the beginning of war when armies were so jealous of their planes). Dive bomber (http://impdb.org/index.php?title=Dive_Bomber but not yet on IMCDB) was far more pleasant (in color, instructive) but was made in more quiet times (1941) with 'old' planes (too much biplanes to be an ambassador of a modern air force !). But as many movies of 'propaganda', do not hope to find a jewel.
