The roadster looks kinda like an Austin Seven Ruby, to me, but the badges are different (customised? or just a different car?), and I can't find pics of open-top Rubys with that grill; only sedans. And I have no idea about the bus. Someone better-informed than me could probably get more specific, about those station wagons, but I think I at least got the brand and year right (i hope). The full movie's on Youtube: The roadster shows up just after the 4 minute mark, and the other cars from 0:54:02, for about then next 2 minutes or so. https://youtu.be/p7n-IK73fw0?t=241 (there's also some scenes in a car's interior; Like a "thru the windscreen" shot. Not sure how IMCDB deals with interior shots, but I'd guess it's just a movie prop/set, that probably doesn't match up with any specific, real car. That shot's at 54:07) |

The Austin Seven is very likely an Open Road four seater(!) tourer, possibly type AAK, or maybe AAL, but the angle, and the extraneous actors hanging about don’t help. It might also be a two seater which could carry the “Jewel” name Opal but I think not having looked at the suggested film clip. The other openable car in the Jewel range was the Pearl cabriolet, but the fixed structure above windscreen level is not present. I suggest that you might look at this: - /vehicle_759014-Austin-Seven-Open-Road-Tourer-AAL-1935.html -- Last edit: 2024-01-07 10:28:31 |

I fixed things up for you. The pictures needed the black bars cropped off, and I reviewed the film to give each car a rating. |

It's always fascinating seeing movies this old with colour, especially a wartime film! |

Thanks. This was only my 2nd post here; I'll sort that stuff out, in future submissions. |
