The time setting is unknown. It looks like the 80's, but with lots of anachronysms. -- Last edit: 2014-09-26 18:29:34 |

I agree with you aolju. Likely 80s, maybe '90s. Alfred's Bentley definitely from the '90s. I saw a Saturn coupe. But police vehicles from the '80s. |

The Lincoln funeral car is also newer, and I think I saw a 90`s Dodge Ram Van in the background in another scene... it`s very confusing! |

They are making it their mission to confuse this website. |

If you watch the second episode (which i'll post soon) you will be even more confused! |

You'd think that this would be pre-1939 since that's the year Batman was created. |

Well, that's true, but chronology is not always respected in the comic world. If it would, 1930'scharacters would be 100 years old in the newest comics. In fact, "origin" stories are told several times after the first comic is released and usually take place in the time the comic was written. It looks like this series is inspired in the 1987 comic "Batman: Year One", a new version of the origin story in which Gordon's story is also told, as in the series. -- Last edit: 2014-10-13 14:55:43 |

I`ll try to upload the first half of the season at Christmas holidays. |

Most Batman works are created with a "Timeless" goal in mind. Generic vehicles that are usually 10 years old or older are the norm. In most comic books, the cars are just drawn as generic boxy shapes. |

I'm pretty sure I saw a Prius in one of the earlier episodes. Cell phones, old cars, newer clothes and guns... They're creating a non linear timeframe and enabling themselves to weave in and out of almost any timeframe. That's one of my favorite things about the show. |

Maybe the setting is supposed to be mixed. Similar to Tim Burton's 1989 Batman how they used 70's and 80's vehicles, with Jack (pre-Joker) and his crew were dressed like 20's/30's style mobsters and tommy guns are used during the film. |

On season 3 episode 8 What car is the burgundy 2 door outside the plastic surgeon's clinic? |
◊ 2016-11-19 04:40 |
xker, I saw the car on season 3 episode 8, and it looks like a "Stutz Blackhawk" from the 1970's-80's... Elvis had a few of those !!! -- Last edit: 2016-11-19 04:52:09 |

Anyone know what car is at the end of season 1 episode 11? It's Jimmy Saviano's car where he is shot. Black with fins and white wall tires. |

Seems like they used three different police cars in season 1-2. Dodge Diplomat, Plymouth Gran Fury and Chevrolet Impala. Some get demolished. Don't know if the crashes were CGI or not...? |

Done. |

In the last episode set 10 years later the police cars have different lightbars and markings. But I guess they are the same already listed here? https://twitter.com/GothamFilming/status/1063570339274338304/photo/1 |
