![]() directed by Jack Bernhard. This Bernhard had made two years earlier the delirious Decoy, another poverty row film noir. And this director seemed to have something for British actresses, since after Jean Gillie in Decoy, he used here a girl named Belita. Actually, that's all there is in common between the two movies. Here, the actors—the leads, at least—are good and Belita and Preston Foster have good chemistry between them, and nice lines to deliver, ![]() but the story, though interesting, is not very well ended (I mean: the ending is a happy one, but the resolution is really clumsy and too fast, while the movie had its tepid lengthy moments). Dommage. ![]() -- Last edit: 2015-05-13 17:42:17 |
