Not crappy. It is somewhat similar, but the movie was still nice. Better than what I expected. -- Last edit: 2007-03-18 23:10:05 |

Haven't seen it yet, but I heard it's a good movie. What does it have to do with Jumanji? |

Basic plot is similar: two kids that play a board game with things that happen for real. |

TIL: The movie is actually supposed to be related to Jumanji (The book its based is a sequel to Jumanji and its made by the writer) The thing is, the director apparently didn't like the jumanji movie so this movie has a more "standalone" feel to it. Love the future brother twist tho. -- Last edit: 2024-07-08 02:16:59 |

@humungus. I was planning on doing an HD Upgrade of this but maybe you want to take a shot at it? It's definitely worth watching, better than Jumanji in my opinion. |

^ Didn't even know this existed, but Tim Robbins is always worth a look, so I'll do it in due course. |

Updated to HD. This sort of movies aren't really my pint of beer as I tend to prefer more down to earth fare, but this one was a lot of fun, particularly the banter between the two brothers which had me in stiches in places. The two kiddie actors were terrific. Great practical effects, too. Kristen Stewart was a waste of space, though. I wish the Zorgons ate IMDb, not meat. |
