Gives a new meaning to the word 'noir'. Oodles of backgroundmobiles most of which don't look like much at 498p, so there they are: There's a scene on a bus, we don't see any of it: |

I knew I forgot something! This is a briefly seen two-star vehicle (it's a surveillance van): |

1-3. All these cars are prewar, probably old stock footage. Notable is a Willys 77 Panel Delivery; the footage was reused in "David Harding, Counterspy" (1950): /vehicle_1810324-Willys-77-Panel-Delivery-1935.html 2. Distinctive grille and hood vents, maybe something unusual? - EDIT: 1934 La Fayette, pretty rare 4. Tractor with unique loader attachment 6. 1938 Oldsmobile touring sedan, same year and bodystyle as /vehicle_1811884-Oldsmobile-Six-F-38-1938.html 8. 1946-1948 Plymouth 9. (1940 Plymouth?) coupe and older sedan 12. 1940 Dodge 12-14. 1947 Chevrolet (Stylemaster?) business coupe 17. 1947 Studebaker Champion 19. Another 1947 Studebaker Champion and a 1946-1948 DeSoto 25. 1946 Buick Super (Buick helpfully put the model name right on that boss in the middle of the grille bar) 2-star surveillance van is a 1938-1939 Ford, the beltline molding is distinctive. -- Last edit: 2023-07-30 04:45:36 |

^ Thanks for this and listing the interesting ones! To clarify, these thumbs not for the white Chevy (which is listed), but for the cars around it (cropped and unresized): 12: 13: 14: The general rule of my thumbs is: I post them for the smaller vehicles in the background, so you can safely ignore more or less visible vehicles in the foreground (as I have likely listed those). |

Oops, I completely missed that the Chevy was listed, my bad. 12. 1940 Dodge 13. 1940 Buick 14. 1946-1948 Buick (Super/Roadmaster) Sedanet |
