It's submitted like that on imdb and pretty much elsewhere, therefore I'm not changing it. In fact it's pretty much how you say "ые" in Baltic languages, as in - "je" or "yye", but "je" sounds more familiar. See here : https://www.definify.com/word/1-%D1%8B%D0%B9 |

But why would you write it as you would pronounce it in Latvian? When I see a slavic language movie with a j on the site, my mind immediately goes to Yugoslavia. Then this movie would have to be called "Dve parõ i odinotšestvo": /movie.php?id=446371 And what about here? /movie_2197771-Zabytyy.html -- Last edit: 2022-09-12 15:56:59 |

Because a Latvian person submitted the movie like that and this is how he/she pronounce it?? It wasn't my decision someone decided to list it like that, even though I personally see nothing wrong with that either, because if someone asked me to write down the word "Забытые" in Latin I would write "Zabytyje" as well, because the way you pronounce "J" in Baltic languages is different how you would pronounce it in some other language (I speak both Russian and Lithuanian). I can change it to "yye" which is actually more correct than just "ye", if you feel better.. -- Last edit: 2022-09-12 17:26:29 |
