British science-fiction movie directed by Terence Fisher, with at least one American actor, the male lead Howard Duff (extreeemely wooden), and one American co-producer. Hence, the British are not finally the first men to go in the space. It is a bit more a murder mystery. With a Cold War spy story twist, see? Anyway, anyhow, the nice couple (un-married at the beginning), Eva Bartok and Howard Duff, are not worse or better than the villains, Andrew Osborn, the Oxfordian scientist ready for defection to the East, and English deceitful wife of American hero, Cecile Chevreau (she's English, I checked!). Only Alan Wheatley —policeman and scientist— found grace to my eyes. By default. Radio-ishly talkative and hyper-naive and made on a shoe-string… Bah, I love their accents. A pity this little bunch of cars 00:03:26 were obstructed. Traffic lights for rjluna2: And planes and rockets for IMPDb.org but don't shout at me: Boulton-Pauls? (Yes, in the frame within the frame.) (She's the first woman in the space!) -- Last edit: 2018-11-30 07:20:27 |

"Little bunch of cars" Hillman Tilly?; Austin A40 probably Devon; Ford Anglia E494A. Alan Wheatley - seemingly never short of an acting job in this period, and to find immortality as the Sherriff of Nottingham, always being fooled by Richard Greene as Robin Hood. -- Last edit: 2015-09-09 09:09:08 |
