This is where Michael Caine (real name Maurice Micklewhite, yes really) got his stage name from! According to him, he wanted to be named Michael Scott but there was another actor with that name (no relation to the Dunder-Mifflin branch manager) so he kept Michael and, not even joking, looked at a nearby theater marquee and saw that The Caine Mutiny was playing and went with that! |
