The film also covered Wallace's murder in early hours of the 9th March 1997.

According to the original lead officer, LAPD detective Russell Poole in the four-part true crime documentary, "Who killed Biggie and Tupac?", it was suspected that Wallace was shot by gang member, Wardell "Poochie" Fouse on orders the CEO and owner of Death Row Records, Marion "Suge" Knight Jr with the aid of corrupt LAPD officers David Mack and Rafael Pérez and Mack's friend and member of the Nation of Islam, Amir Muhammad.

The documentary stated that the suspected shooter, Fouse was a member of the Bloods sub gang, Mob Piru who was a known associate of Knight, shortly before Wallace's murder, Knight had given Fouse a dark green Chevrolet Impala SS sedan identical to the one the shooter's drove.

Knight had also owned an Impala SS in the same dark shade of green identical to Fouse's as did Officer Mack in a dark maroon colour.

Officers Mack and Pérez were also known to Knight as they were known to work for Knight while Muhammad knew Knight through his friendship with Mack.

Officers Mack was also suspected of being involved in the murder of Tupac Shakur who was shot as he was sitting in the front passenger seat of his black BMW 750iL E38 sedan at the intersection of East Flamingo Road and Koval Lane in Las Vegas, Nevada on the night of the 7th September 1996.

After the murder of Wallace, on the 6th November 1997, Officer Mack committed an armed robbery on the Bank of America's LA South-Central Branch near the University of Southern California, stealing $722,000 from the safety deposit boxes vault with the aid of his girlfriend and Bank of America employee, Errolyn Romero.

Officer Mack was later convicted of the robbery in December 1997 and was sentenced to 14 years and three months in federal prison.

Three months after Mack was convicted, on the 27th March 1998, Officer Pérez stole eight pounds of cocaine from the evidence room at the LAPD Rampart Branch, replacing it with Bisquick baking mix, he was arrested on 25th August 1998 and under a plea deal at his trial on the 8th September 1999, Pérez was sentenced to five years imprisonment.

The arrests and convictions of Officers Mack and Pérez had resulted in the investigation of the LAPD Rampart Police Corruption in which over 70 officers from the LAPD Community Resources Against Street Hoodlums Unit (CRASH) were named for being involved in criminal activities.

The alleged shooter, Fouse was later shot and killed as he was riding his motorcycle in Compton, California on the afternoon of the 24th July 2003.

It was suspected that Fouse's murder was part of the Bloods internal gang war between Mob Piru and Fruit Town Piru Bloods and that Fouse was shot on the orders of Fruit Town Piru Bloods member Rodrick “Lil Rod” Reed.
