Well, some (obviously non-native people) use it in both cases (even if this is not really grammatically correct for the majority). You see, for a non-native person, spelling the word like "druzya" can be confusing; omitting the soft sign sort of helps you to spell this word the way it should sound.

Again, I'm not saying this is the correct way in any way, and I personally wouldn't agree with that, but that's the way this title is accepted on IMDb. And because of the consistency, I usually don't want to make changes, unless the film title changes on IMDb.
