König, avec la belle mais un peu fixe Edith Mill : Tourmentés par les conventions, les médisances, une fiancée délaissée et terriblement vindicative (Hanna Rucker) et un méchant vraiment pas bien dans sa tête (Harald Schmid) nos héros (la belle Mill, donc, et Erik Schumann, gendre idéal) verront-ils leur amour surmonter les obstacles ? "Non" répondait le scénario initial. "Si !", rétorquèrent producteurs et distributeurs, qui eurent le dernier mot. Résultat, un Heimatfilm pas très finaud et pas très bien joué. Mais il en reste quelques images (parfois, pas toujours, bien éclairées) prises à Tettnang et autour du lac de Constance (Bodensee), et quelques notations (peut-être légèrement édulcorées) sur la migration des saisonniers pour la cueillette du houblon en Bavière du Sud (administrativement Bade-Wurtemberg, ici).
