While uploading those captures, I find them a bit small, don't you? |
◊ 2013-09-16 17:54 |
Also a big too many background cars with lettering in front ![]() Similar ones (2CV, 403, etc.) should be regrouped |

Usually I take a capture of the car when it is not or only very partially covered by the titles lettering. But, Antoine, I'm never sure that these 2CV, 203, Arondes are really similar, you know? Anyway, I took and posted 57 captures only [insert here your favorite smiley] for ![]() other Henri Decoin's noir. With many men plus Anouk Aimée ![]() shown here in front of the poster of a great Bresson's movie, "Un condamné à mort s'est échappé". Try to name and distinguish. -- Last edit: 2013-09-16 19:33:32 |

Being only random background cars in only a part of the picture, that's not a problem of grouping them |
◊ 2013-09-17 20:27 |
Yes, but if they are not of the exact same type, like Tractions 7 and 11, or Simca 9 Aronde, Aronde, and Aronde Grand Large, hein? And what about Frégate Amiral and Grand Pavois, hein, hein, dis? |

Unless you know they are distinctly different models, group them together. |

C'est du détail ![]() |

I'm going to validate them all now, and people can fully identify them and then they be regrouped as necessary. Didier F, it would be good if you could help with some of the organising, keep an eye on people's comments and say what can be regrouped with what. |

But I was watching Breaking Bad and-oh, well, OK then, I stay on line. |

Well, you don't have to do it now, you can do it another time, just don't leave this all for us to sort out. -- Last edit: 2013-09-18 21:34:59 |

But the regrouping I really can't do, I'm not confident enough in my knowledge. On the other side, when you savants are sure that there is for instance only one sort of 4CV shown here, I can give my advice on the pic to keep in main position. |

That's OK, other people can identify them first. All I meant was some people add things then move on and don't really check on the page to see everything's been sorted/indentified (this is why we've got such a huge list of unidentified vehicles) -- Last edit: 2013-09-18 21:39:21 |

Technically, all that goes from 000014 to 000234 is captured from the opening sequence (the opening credits), made of about four shots, of about 50 seconds each. (And to be clear, each vehicle which was captured and highlighted was only once.) |
◊ 2013-09-18 21:39 |
Ah, this I can watch, yes. |
◊ 2013-09-18 21:44 |
Don't worry about it too much, all you would have to do is just check and see whether the same thing is listed more than once (once everything's been identified) and then put "regroup with this", then an admin would delete it and you could repost it in the comments for the other one (or the admin might do that himself). By "same thing", I mean a model that's not noticeably redesigned/facelifted or isn't a different body style or special version. If you want to watch Breaking Bad now, go ahead ![]() -- Last edit: 2013-09-18 21:46:39 |

I wanted to validate it now because the longer it is left, the further back the "unknown" cars are on the unidentified list (because it goes by whatever was added to the site first, validated or not) |
◊ 2013-09-18 21:50 |
Mmmh… I'll watch instead you all proceeding. No joking, I think it's ineresting (and Breaking Bad is downloaded anyway, it can wait, not like this movie.) |
◊ 2013-09-18 21:51 |
Ah voilà, one thing I didn't know. Interesting indeed. |
◊ 2013-09-18 21:52 |
You don't have to, it could be hours before most of them get identified (depends whoever's on the site at the moment) |

Is this shot in Marseilles (Canebière, Vieux Port..) or am I wrong? |
◊ 2013-09-18 23:01 |
