Completed most of Season 2 (1958-59 season). I'm recording this from a local station as it winds through the syndication cycle.![]() ![]() ![]() |

Completed nearly all of Season 3 (1959-60 TV season) and a handful of episodes from Season 4 (1960-61, the show's final season). I'll post again when I get the rest of the way through Season 4. |

Some notable unrated vehicles:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Mike's boats, and the often-seen seaplane. Mike's boat (the first thumbnail) was called the Argonaut, and at one point I could've sworn I even saw an Argonaut II. -- Last edit: 2010-09-26 04:14:53 |

The Seaplane is a Grumman Goose. |

Not sure if I've ever seen a film with so many Minxes, including the background cars in other entries. Maybe some product placement, but too many older models to explain all of them. Bahamas = Minx Heaven? |

That's exactly what I wondered. Did Minx have an affiliation with GM or Chrysler, they seemed to provide the most US vehicles on this show? -- Last edit: 2010-09-27 18:50:49 |

Not as far as I know. GM had Vauxhall instead; the late 1960s takeover of Rootes by Chrysler was a long way in the future and only triggered when Rootes started losing huge amounts of money after building Linwood and launching the Imp. 1950s UK production was heavily directed towards exporting to bring in foreign currency in post-WW2 economic policy and Commonwealth areas such as Bahamas were prime targets. Compare though with Dr No, another Bahamas-set film 2-3 years later; apart from Bond's Alpine and a Humber hearse pushed over a cliff while pretending to be a La Salle, there are hardly any Rootes cars. -- Last edit: 2010-09-26 18:34:21 |

Done. |

If I've understood IMDB correctly, this was filmed in Bahamas and US. So Bahamas scenes they drive on left, US scenes on right. Interesting that all the US cars in the Bahamas scenes are LHD - did Bahamas have a high rate of minor collisions? Similar scenario also in Dr No. |

I just received from a friend in the States the whole serie. 19 DVD's. I'm on DVD one and already seen a lot of interesting cars. |

I just added 12 more cars from seasons 1, 2 and 4. I did that before I saw your post, yvon, feel free to add any upgraded images you find if they're better than mine (which is likely since yours would be from DVD and mine were recorded off the air). |
