One more vehicle: a ** 1957 Ford pops up near the end of the movie. I'm guessing it's a Custom 300 sedan, that's what most likely would have been used on a military base. We see so little of it, and what we do see is so blurry, I chose not to give it a page of its own. But it's the only contemporary civilian car in the entire movie.![]() |

Thanks! Could you post some decent stills of the B-25D bomber featured in the movie? I'm trying to ID it for an aircraft website. |

RE: the B-25. I think you're corrcect about it being a "D"...but that indicates it was a civilian aircraft painted for the role. In the 50s the USAF only operated late model B-25s (B-25Js) converted into trainers (TB-25Ns) and a few VIP aircraft. For more on B-25s check here: http://www.aerovintage.com/b25bits.htm Scott Thompson, the owner of that site, might klnow about that aircraft. -- Last edit: 2010-10-01 14:20:34 |

Oh yes, that's the site I was referring to - Scott's B-25 in Civil Service book mentions a potential match; a B-25D purchased by Paul Mantz around that time with no further record. |
