The biggest names associated with this show is Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband Daniel Palladino, the creators, directors and writers who are best known as the creators of Gilmore Girls. Dorothy Parker Drank Here Productions is their company. The Checker cab is featured in several episodes and is much too new for 1958. Cars seen in 2nd season: 2.03: Studebaker at end of ep 2.04: Lime green and black 1957 Chevy driving to Catskills 2.05: red/white Plymouth Fury convertible 2.05: green Packard sedan 2.05: several Checker taxis 2.05: blue 1957 Chevy sedan 2.06: early 50s Rolls Royce 2.07: street scene with several cars including a MG A -- Last edit: 2019-11-26 08:52:02 |

There's a non-50's car in Ep 1.01, but there wasn't a good view of it, this is the best view I could get of it: I'm not sure if this is the same one: |

You're talking about that '30's GM one in front of the '59 Olds, aren't you? |

Just posted brown car from Ep. 1.04. No idea of yr/mk/mdl but I just remember seeing one in the neighborhood when I was a kid in Jersey City. I always liked the unique look of it. ID anyone? |

That unknown GM looks to be a 1940 Chevrolet coupe. |

@JohnnyK - I already have the 3rd season capped and had started the first, so if you haven't started the 3rd, I can add them now and let you finish up the 1st season. |

Season 3 complete For IMPDB: Ep 3.01. Apparently the USO scenes in this episode were done in Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn: Ep 3.08: -- Last edit: 2020-05-04 11:19:53 |

So I just read that the Las Vegas street scenes and the drag racing scenes in Episode 3.03/3.04 were filmed at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn. So the cars we see are NYC based. -- Last edit: 2020-05-04 11:27:14 |

Yes, I can confirm that. I had the '55 Cadillac Series 62 there that day, though I don't recall seeing it in the final edit. |

My 1960 Ford F-100 was in season 4, episode 5. I also helped out on the set, and drove a 1958 Rolls Royce to position it for a scene. The setting was a horse farm. The filming took place in Old Westbury NY. |

Nice! I'm only halfway through the season and will look for it. Ep 4.05 is my next ep, so I'll have to look out for both. I'm almost finished my regular Tv shows and was planning capping this next. |
