 Sure about 1964 as movie-date? All cars are older and some even have the old pre-1956-plates for West-Berlin KB "Kommandatura Berlin". I don't know right now, when they became unvalid, but I'm quite sure, that in 1964 they couldn't used any more.

 as i didn´t fetch title did some research on wiki by filmography of main actors Gunter Philipp (looking quite young ) and Paul Hörbiger trying to cross road in Berlin and scenes in Austria meet the plot of this movie
as you are right no car is younger than 1956 and they all look shiny and new especially Ku´damm scene seems to show situation mid 50ies compared to
"Quiller memorandum" 1966
