Long-winded account of the work of The Wild Fowl Trust for protecting birds, but buried among all the solemnity some interesting stories - how a near-extinct species of Hawaiian goose was saved by setting up a breeding unit in Gloucestershire, which then returned lots of new geese to live happily on Hawaii, and a bizarre but true illustration of how wild ducks will naturally and happily swim along to follow a dog
