^ if you like Billy Joel, I reckon his best stuff was early-mid 70s albums - Piano Man, Streetlife Serenade, Turnstiles and then his first live album Songs in the Attic. Saw him in Birmingham Odeon about 1978 and he was excellent. He along with Tom Petty, Springsteen and Bob Seger all toured UK around this time - each doing 3-4 hour shows which were turbocharged all the way thru - a golden age of memorable full-blown rock gigs. |
