The first time, until the 60's yes. But with some changes in the 70's, have tracks and semi-permanents with more "Newer" cars (like the Torino, Falcon, Chevy, Dodge). And the SP (Sport Prototipo too). But since 1997 until now, only rides in circuits. Are very dangerous some races, like in the Andes, Córdoba, and others.
And also, the "Buenos Aires-Caracas" race are the "south-american" Dakar in the early years of the XX century.
